Location: Canada/Montreal/Downtown

Blvd René-Lévesque West
● This boulevard is in the heart of downtown Montréal. It runs from west to east. The name comes from one of the Quebec's premiers who was one of the main forces behind the separatism movement in Quebec during 60's and 70's. He held a referendum in 1980 to separate Quebec from Canada in which he lost. To read more about him click this. I have seen few old interviews from him on TV; he surprised me by being an extremely heavy smoker. He was like a chimney, always having a cigarette in his hand. He has an amazing reaction to the result of the referandum, caught on tape. When the news comes out that they have lost the referandum, he takes the microphone and says something like this: "If I understand it well, the Quebecers are saying that they are not ready yet, so, till next time!"
