Location: Canada/Montréal/Rue Notre-Dame

St Jean-Baptiste Parade
● I heard that St-Jean-Baptiste is considered the protector of French Canada - patron saint of French Canadian - and no one knows how/when this started. This is the reason the national day of Québec is also known as St-Jean-Baptiste day. One can even find people greeting each other in the streets by saying "Bonne St-Jean-Baptist", or those who more friendly with the Saint say "Bonne St-Jean", instead of "Bonne Fête". They say during St. Patrick's day (also check this) in Montréal everyone is Irish. I believe during St. Jean-Baptiste day everyone is Quebecer in Montréal.
